Bybit EU PSD2 XS2A Interface

Under the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2), certified third-party providers (TPPs) can retrieve account information and initiate payments with the user's consent. Communication between TPPs and banks takes place via a standardized Access-to-Account interface (XS2A).

Bybit EU uses the "finAPI XS2A Server" powered by finAPI GmbH to provide account information service (AIS), payment initiation service (PIS) and payment instrument issuing service (PIIS) for all cooperated TPPs.

Third-party providers with a valid QWAC certificate can access the interface at the following URLs:

A technical description of the API functions can be found in the developer documentation at

For SCA, Bybit EU offers different flows according to the service type that TPPs are going to use:

  • AIS/PIIS: Decoupled flow by Bybit EU app is required when collecting consent from the endusers and asking for AIS/PIIS SCA
  • PIS: Embedded flow by redirecting to Bybit EU app is required when asking PIS SCA

Limitations

Bybit EU does not support the following use cases:

AIS

  • Retrieve account details with IBAN
  • Retrieve transaction status for standing orders
  • Card account information services

PIS

  • Single payment with requested execution time
  • Bulk payment
  • Periodic payment
